Republican minister endorses Deval Patrick

Democratic candidate for Governor Deval Patrick laughs as Rev. Peter Gomes rings a bell to get the crowd's attention. Gomes, a life-long Republican, told the group gathered at his home in Plymouth that he will be "marching to the Town Clerk's office on Wednesday" to change his registration to Democrat so he will be eligible to vote in the Sept. 19th Primary.

Stating that he is voting for the man, not the party, Gomes (D.D., Honorary Fellow of the College, Plummer Professor of Christian Morals at Harvard University, and Pusey Minister in the Memorial Church, Harvard) enthusiastically endorsed Deval Patrick.
